Celebrities Encourage People to Wear Masks

When Covid-19 started we all seemed very concerned about it, but as the news started to focus in other subjects, and the country started to reopen, people seemed to forget about the big problem we are facing. As the cases increased, the fear decreased.

The social media world can help or hurt society, but in this case celebrities and influencers are using it to spread the word of WEARING MASKS. Not only celebrities are using their power to keep the country healthy. The State of California is turning to influential community leaders to help slow the spread of COVID-19 in California.

Though businesses are opening up, COVID-19 is still very serious. This past week, California had daily record highs of new COVID-19 cases throughout the State. That's why wearing a mask / face covering is a community health statement.

Here some celebrities who are helping the world to get healthier.

Kourtney Kardashian

I also invite anyone who wants to help encourage others to do the same and #wearadamnmask Thank you @simonhuck and @aliceandolivia for nominating me. 💛"

Michelle Pfeiffer

"This isn’t about politics, this is about keeping each other safe.#WearADamnMask. Thanks @juliannemoore 😷❤️"

"I understand masks are inconvenient and uncomfortable. But don’t you feel that it’s worse that businesses are shutting down... jobs are being lost... health care workers are hitting absolute exhaustion. And so many lives have been taken by this virus because we aren’t doing enough. ⠀

I really do believe in the basic goodness of people so I know we can all do this 🥰 BUT still, there are many people in our country refusing to take the necessary steps to flatten the curve, and keep each other safe. People seem worried about their “rights being taken away” by being asked to wear a mask. This simple and effective recommendation is being politicized at the expense of peoples’ lives. And it really shouldn’t be a debate 🙏🏼 ⠀

If you care about human life, please... just #wearadamnmask😷 and encourage those around you to do the same ❤️"
