Chrissy Teigen and John Legend Lose the Baby They Were Expecting

Chrissy Teigen and John Legend have lost their baby, days after she was admitted to the hospital with severe bleeding and following many complications.

Chrissy 34, shared the heartbreaking news on social media on Wednesday night, saying “We are shocked and in the kind of deep pain you only hear about, the kind of pain we’ve never felt before. We were never able to stop the bleeding and give our baby the fluids he needed, despite bags and bags of blood transfusions. It just wasn’t enough.

We never decide on our babies’ names until the last possible moment after they’re born, just before we leave the hospital. But we, for some reason, had started to call this little guy in my belly Jack. So, he will always be Jack to us. Jack worked so hard to be a part of our little family, and he will be, forever.”

More than 7 million people responded on Instagram. In replies, stars and fans shared their condolences. Some also used the comments section of her post to grieve their own losses and share their stories with the woman they feel they've come to know and relate to.

One person wrote: "We lost twins at 20 weeks and your bravery for sharing this can hopefully slow people to know they are not alone. Thank you."

Kim Kardashian West was among the celebrities who sent messages, writing: "We're always here for you and love you guys so much."

On Monday, Chrissy revealed she was on 'serious bed rest' due to bleeding and said she was 'about halfway through her pregnancy'.

In one of the photos we see the couple holding the baby on Chrissy’s arms while crying.

The couple had recently put their house on sale because with the new baby coming they were not going to have enough space.

Chrissy had been trying to get pregnant for a long time with no success. She has always been very open about her pregnancy problems and her in vitro. The model also shared a few months ago the surgery she went through due to her breast implants she needed to have removed. Apparently, Chrissy did the required pregnancy test for the surgery, which showed a false negative, so she went through that invasive surgery while being pregnant.

Teigen finished her Instagram post saying “To our Jack - I’m so sorry that the first few moments of your life were met with so many complications, that we couldn’t give you the home you needed to survive. We will always love you. Thank you to everyone who has been sending us positive energy, thoughts and prayers. We feel all of your love and truly appreciate you. We are so grateful for the life we have, for our wonderful babies Luna and Miles, for all the amazing things we’ve been able to experience. But everyday can’t be full of sunshine. On this darkest of days, we will grieve, we will cry our eyes out. But we will hug and love each other harder and get through it.”
