As part of the celebrations for Women’s Month, the Pozuelo de Alarcón City Council presents a new edition of the collective exhibition “Women Artists of Pozuelo”, where the renowned journalist, publicist, and writer Teresa Haering (María Teresa Haering Portolés) stands out as one of the most distinctive creative voices in the show.

The exhibition, which brings together the work of 91 local creators, is being held for the first time in the emblematic Exhibition Hall of the MIRA Cultural Center. Haering’s participation in this event highlights her growing recognition not only in the literary field—following the recent success of her poetry collection My Angel—but also in the visual arts, where she contributes a perspective rich in sensitivity and humanism.
A Dialogue Between Word and Image
Teresa Haering, known for her career in heritage management and communication, brings to this collective exhibition the same introspective depth that defines her literary work. Her participation in the 2026 edition reflects the commitment of Pozuelo’s artists to showcasing female talent and fostering a space for cultural exchange within the municipality.

About Teresa Haering Portolés
A journalist, publicist, and writer, she is the author of the poetry book My Angel (Círculo Rojo Publishing). Her professional career has developed across the fields of communication and management, demonstrating a remarkable artistic vision while maintaining a close connection to the creative and cultural life of Pozuelo de Alarcón.
A Dialogue Between the Architecture of Language and Image
Teresa Haering’s proposal in this edition goes beyond mere aesthetic representation, becoming an exercise in artistic construction. Her work reflects a strong narrative structure in which the mastery of language—rooted in her career as a journalist—merges with visual compositions rich in symbolism.
As a writer and communications professional, Haering applies to her canvases an “architecture of words,” where each stroke seems to seek the precision of a verse. Her artistic presence in the exhibition stands out for:
Construction of meaning: She uses art as an extension of her literary universe, creating pieces that function as visual poems.
Identity and sensitivity: Her work brings a necessary balance between technique and personal introspection, exploring themes such as faith, the guardian angel, and humanism—elements that also define her literary work My Angel.
Communicative vision: Her pieces are not only observed but also “read,” inviting the viewer into an active dialogue about the female figure and spirituality in the modern era.
Her participation reaffirms that the creative scene in Pozuelo de Alarcón includes figures capable of hybridizing disciplines, positioning Haering as one of the most prominent members of Pozuelo’s cultural and social community.
