Shebara Resort: A Futuristic Oasis on Saudi Arabia’s Red Sea Coast

Nestled on the uninhabited Sheybarah Island, Shebara Resort is a groundbreaking eco-luxury destination that redefines sustainable travel. Opened in November 2024, this visionary project by Red Sea Global (RSG) features 73 villas, 38 overwater and 35 beachfront, designed to harmonize with the island's pristine environment.

Designed by Killa Design, the resort's overwater villas are polished stainless steel orbs that reflect the surrounding sea and sky, creating a seamless blend with the natural landscape . These innovative structures were prefabricated in Sharjah and transported to the island, showcasing a commitment to sustainable construction practices.

Shebara operates entirely off-grid, powered by a dedicated solar farm and a solar-powered desalination plant, underscoring its dedication to environmental stewardship . This approach aligns with Saudi Arabia's Vision 2030 initiative to promote sustainable tourism.

The resort offers a diverse culinary experience with five distinct dining venues:

·  IKI.ROE: Japanese Nikkei fusion cuisine.

·  Lunara Brasserie: A contemporary international brasserie.

·  Saria: A poolside grill serving modern Levantine dishes.

·  Solera: A beachside bar offering inventive non-alcoholic cocktails.

·  Mediterranean Restaurant: Led by Michelin-starred Chef Marco Garfagnini, featuring live pasta stations.

Guests can indulge in various activities, including:

  • Water Adventures: E-foil surfing and stand-up paddleboarding.

  • Marine Exploration: Snorkeling and diving in vibrant coral reefs.

  • Aerial Views: Scenic seaplane tours over the Red Sea.
